I.  One (1) Administrative Assistant IV (SG 10-1)
    ITEM NO. UPSB-ADAS4-160-2004

Eligibility

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proper scheduling of appointment of the Director
  • Records and monitor incoming and outgoing communication from the different division for the information, signature and action of the Director;
  • Assists the Director and other division related to some administrative matter;
  • Filing of all office documents / records under Director’s Office
  • Answer telephone inquiry regarding UP ISSI activities and make phone calls for the Director
  • Assist the visitors and walk-in clients of UP ISSI
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

 

II. One (1) University Extension Specialist II (SG 18-1)
    ITEM NO. UPSB-UEXSP2-64-1998

Duties and Responsibilities
  • TRAINING AND EXTENSION
    • Lead in the conceptualization and implementation of training programs, division projects, and other advocacy effort
    • Prepare and review training materials in coordination with subject matter experts
    • Prepare articles and program studies on topics relevant to assigned training courses
    • Prepare completion and terminal reports of training program
  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
    • Prepares training proposals in coordination with sponsoring agencies
    • Identifies and recommends resource speakers, coaches and mentors for training programs
    • Maintain professional network with faculty, students, industry association, government and

    private institutions to harness common efforts in advancing entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.

  • MENTORING
    • Serves as coach / mentor for various training workshops

 

III.   One (1) University Extension Specialist V (SG 24-1)
    ITEM NO. UPSB-UEXSP5-8-1998

Duties and Responsibilities
  • RESEARCH
    • Develop research proposals and corresponding project proposals
    • Generate and negotiate research projects for possible funding
    • Write articles, monographs, research papers, project studies on topics relevant to MSMEs
    • Ensure the quality of research outputs produced by the Division
    • Prepare completion and terminal reports of projects
  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
    • Serve as Head of Research Division, providing overall direction and supervision to RD staff.
    • Lead in the conceptualization and development of the Institute’s research agenda, i.e. 3-year, 5-year research agenda.
    • Serve as project leader and provide project
    • Maintain professional network with faculty, students, industry association, government and private institutions to harness common efforts in advancing entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.
