UP ISSI is proud that one of its incubatees, Easybus PH Inc., is now a DOST-PCIEERD grantee.

Technology blog TechTalks.ph reports that Easybus PH Inc., one of the selected technology-based startups that are currently undergoing an incubation program in UP ISSI, is one of the five startups that recently received funding from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).

Easybus PH Inc. is a startup company started in May 2013 and provides an online booking solution specifically for the provincial bus transport system in the country.  The company aims to modernize the manual ticketing process, thereby providing convenience to both the passengers and bus operators.

While the digital booking system has been in existence for quite some time, Easybus PH’s technology is unique in that it is synchronized real-time with the booking officer, conductor and passengers, making it adaptable by any bus operator of any large or small bus line companies. It aims to solve the problems associated with the manual booking process such as double booking, errors in coordinating and processing booking requests between the ticketing office and requesting passengers, terminal congestion and lack of updates with regard to booking.

TechTalks.ph cites Easybus PH’s solution as a technology that has “the potential to be the new standard in bus booking in the Philippines”.
