The management and staff of UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries attended the 7th Philippine SME Business Expo last 17-18 October 2018 at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. On its 7th year, the highlight of the event was the interactive convergence of various business industries, stakeholders and other activities that provide opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises in our country.
In this event, the new UP ISSI Director, Dr. Aleli B. Bawagan, met some of the Institute’s participants and lecturers in its education and entrepreneurial training programs. They discussed the contribution of the Institute in helping entrepreneurs to be competitive and empowering the business sector, particularly the SMEs in the country. Likewise, this year’s expo served as a venue for UP ISSI to keep abreast with the latest SME industry trends needed for the curriculum enrichment of its training programs and build new strategic partnerships with SME industry professionals.
