ADVISORY: UP ISSI trunkline numbers updates to 8-digit landline starting October 6

In compliance with the National Telecommunications Commission M.O. 10-10-2017, UP ISSI will be adding one more digit to its existing telephone numbers.

“All Greater Metro Manila landline numbers with area code 02 will migrate from 7 digits to 8 digits.” – PLDT

Just add 8 to the existing 7-digit PLDT numbers.

What is the 8 Digit GMM Number Expansion all about?

This initiative is covered by National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) memorandum order No. 10 – 10 – 2017 dated last October 2017 which instructs telecommunication operators to expand telephone number range from 7-digit to 8-digit format.

NTC assigned a PTE (Public Telephone Entity) identified per telecommunication operator. Number 8 is assigned to PLDT.
