ISSI staff gain insight from UPD QA Assembly
On March 3, 2025, the UP Diliman Quality Assurance Office (UPD QAO) hosted the QA General Assembly at Bulwagang Tandang Sora, College of Social Work and Community Development. This event provided a platform for QA stakeholders to gain insights into the year’s quality assurance activities, relay feedback, consult with UPD QAO, and connect with fellow QA champions.
Focusing on administrative units, the assembly brought together key representatives from various offices, including UP ISSI attendees Melanie Sangalang, Bernadette Escoto, Melanie Cabotaje, and Jefferson Sumalabe. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on topics vital to performance and quality assurance at UP Diliman:
PREXC Indicators – Understanding how indicators developed by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) help make programs and activities more outcomes-oriented.
OPCR-PMT Alignment – Exploring ways to align unit-level expected outcomes and outputs with the existing performance management system.
PMT Updates – Learning about key developments from the Performance Monitoring Team to drive continual improvement in UP Diliman’s operations.
ISO 21001:2018 – Reflecting on the achievements of Phase 1 of ISO implementation and discussing the next steps in UP Diliman’s ISO roadmap.
Through this assembly, participants gained valuable knowledge and an opportunity to strengthen collaboration towards enhancing quality assurance efforts across the university. Kudos to UPD QAO for spearheading this initiative and to all QA champions committed to continuous improvement!
