Visionary Leadership

The UP ISSI ALMA or the Advanced Leadership and Management Course is perhaps the most challenging of The Institute’s management training programs, not because its topics revolve around “The Balanced Scorecard” or its sessions follow the “Strategic Planning Framework”.

It is most challenging because it tackles advanced thought leadership.

On the very FIRST day of class, when participants just came in, and still trying to warm up to the UP vibe, and with their classmates – young and old – and their very own souls, I tackle “Visionary Leadership.” Perhaps it is shock and awe, but it is the first topic.

While traditional discussions can revolve around what is Vision, and samples of Mission statements, and then end up in highfalutin dreamy sentences, I, on another head and hand, discuss the nitty-gritty reality of “How to Create Vision”. I demonstrate through processes, cases, exercises and workshops The 4 Approaches in Vision Design:

1) A mathematically-grounded vision in Sales

2) New Creativity in Marketing

3) The uncanny marriage of Production & Pricing

4) How Delivery + Distribution + Digital is the Future

The ALMA is a course for Managers and Leaders who want to go through the most strategic of all business frameworks. But for me? It is, also, an opportunity to share the world’s current advances in management thought and leadership. Because I might never see, and have another strategic conversation with these business and organizational leaders again. And being the designated first Resource Speaker, I would have fulfilled my duty as the first to draw blood – welcoming them properly to this 11 Saturday Course and teasing out and encouraging in them the Visionary Leader that they should be.

If you are down for a challenge, or looking for what’s the next stage of management, or an upgrade for your leadership, you will be perfect for UP ISSI’s Advanced Leadership and Management Course. See you at the next ALMA?
