Representatives of the University of the Philippines Diliman and the City Government of Pasig formally sign the Memorandum of Agreement for the implementation of the ENTRÉ-GROW Pasig City Project, marking the beginning of their collaborative efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship development and enterprise resilience in Pasig City.

The University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman and the City Government of Pasig formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the ENTRÉ-GROW Pasig City: Entrepreneurship Growth through Guidance and Resilience for Enterprises on 3 November 2026, at the People’s Hall, Temporary Pasig City Hall.

An approved Extension Grant of UP Diliman, the ENTRÉ-GROW Project will be implemented through the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI), in partnership with the Pasig City Government, to strengthen the entrepreneurial competencies, business management capabilities, and resilience of qualified entrepreneurs in the city.

The project adopts an integrated enterprise development approach that combines an Enterprise Development Seminar-Workshop, Micro Business Simulation and Savings Games, Business Continuity and Resilience Planning, and customized business mentoring. These interventions are designed to enhance participants’ capabilities in entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing, operations, and financial management, while equipping them with practical strategies to manage risks and respond to business disruptions.

The MOA was signed by UP Diliman Chancellor Edgardo Carlo L. Vistan II and Pasig City Mayor Victor Ma Regis N. Sotto. The ceremony was also attended by UP ISSI Director Melanie M. Moraga-Leaño, ENTRÉ-GROW Project Leader Karen Kay C. Bravo, Crisostomo Ian P. Veron Cruz, Officer-in-Charge of the Pasig City Local Economic Development and Investment Office and representatives from both institutions.

Through this collaboration, UP Diliman and the Pasig City Government reaffirm their commitment to translating academic expertise and institutional resources into responsive extension initiatives that address the needs of local entrepreneurs. More than a formal agreement, ENTRÉ-GROW represents a shared commitment to fostering enterprise resilience, strengthening local economic participation, and advancing inclusive and sustainable economic development in Pasig City.

Officials and representatives from UP Diliman, UP ISSI, and the City Government of Pasig pose for a group photo following the ceremonial MOA signing, reaffirming their shared commitment to implementing the ENTRÉ-GROW Project and supporting the growth and resilience of local entrepreneurs.
