UP ISSI joins Livestock Philippines 2025
The UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI) participated in Livestock Philippines 2025 from June 25-27. The booth provided information about training programs, mentoring support, and research initiatives.
Most booth visitors sought training opportunities, including farmers, entrepreneurs, and professionals. ISSI staff discussed their specific needs and recommended appropriate training courses from available programs. The booth also received inquiries from business owners interested in partnerships, particularly those looking to expand their reach or connect with ISSI mentees’ products and services.
Ms. Aliyah Marie Millares from Fullmight Agricultural Corporation, an ISSI LIPAD Program Batch 2 mentee, served as one of the speakers during the breakout session on June 27 at 10:00 AM. Her presentation titled “From Farmers to Farmpreneurs: Empowering Farmers as Decision Makers” focused on shifting farmers’ mindsets from traditional practices to a more strategic and entrepreneurial approach. She emphasized empowering farmers to become informed decision-makers who are smart and intentional in managing their farms. Furthermore, she briefly mentioned Nutrio, their flagship product, and how Fullmight Agricultural Corp. supports this movement through innovative solutions that enhance farm productivity and sustainability.
A Thai national based in the Netherlands spoke with ISSI representatives about potential partnerships. The conversation covered ISSI’s programs and projects, with the visitor expressing interest in future collaboration opportunities. The event demonstrated ISSI’s role in connecting entrepreneurs with resources and networks in the agricultural sector.
